Trans Siberian Orchestra Concert

*I have some very exciting news to share over the next few days! I cannot wait to share and get everyone involved.
I had the opportunity to see Trans Siberian Orchestra (TSO) last night as my Christmas gift from a friend and it did not disappoint! After running around all morning, I got an hour or so to myself before heading out for a run. I am on week 3 of Couch to 5K! I have never made it to week 3 and it has not been too bad.
I digress. . .
A little wine and curls later, we were off to dinner. The show was at the Verizon Center in Chinatown. We decided on a place called Momiji not too far from the Verizon Center and trust me, this place did not disappoint!
Mai Tai (Round 2)
Edamame (Apparently, I had already had too much?
I’m not sure why this was blurry.)
Spicy Tuna and California Roll! Sushi, it has been far too long!
Sex on the Beach (Round 3) This cocktail pretty much tasted exactly like the Mai Tai. Meh. . .
Dessert: Tempura Bananas Soooo good!
After a nice, yummy dinner, we stopped to take some pictures and then headed in for the concert.
Once inside, round 4 happened. . .
The concert was amazing!! Just as great as I remember from seeing them in Tulsa, OK, a few years ago. The tour is called the Lost Christmas Eve. The first portion of the show tells a story and then the second portion is dedicated to them playing their newer and most favorite fan songs. The concert started at 7:30 and we were not leaving until 10, so it the concert definitely gave you bang for your buck!
One thing that I did remember to bring were my earplugs. Call me a baby, but I remember the concert be extremely loud the previous time and I had no desire for my ears or head to be ringing after the concert. Thank God I brought them because I felt that I was able to hear lyrics better and I felt like I did not lose any of that special effect even with them in.
Here are some pictures from our seats. We were high and to the side of the stage. Not bad seats at all!
It was an amazingly fun night and I would highly recommend going to see TSO! Thank you to Q for the Christmas gift! It was an unforgettable one! And note to self, never “re-hydrate” with just wine and cocktails after going for a run. Make sure you through a little water in there.
