Fitness Recap: December 2-8

So, it has been awhile, but these are making a comeback! ;-)

Sunday: December 2

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Day 2 Level 1 and Spin Class: I am really starting to like spin class. This particular class was rough. I went to it after work and it was a packed class. Apparently, this is a regular class with lots of regulars. While I did get a good workout, I probably would not go back.

Monday: December 3

30 Day Shred: Day 3 Level 1 and Couch to 5K Week 2, Day 1: This run was okay. I covered 2.32 miles in 35 minutes. Average pace was 15:16. Not the fastest, but I am getting there! ;-)

Tuesday: December 4

30 Day Shred Day 4 Level 1 and Spin Class: I HATED this spin class! The usual instructor was not there and I should have known when I walked in and classical music was playing it was going to be a loss. My spirits lifted when the first song during class was U2, but after that, it was all downhill. Everything that was said was in opposition to the instructor on Sunday. It was like the instructor was making digs at her. I called it quits early and hit the row machine before getting ready to head into DC for the NASA Social.

Wednesday: December 5

30 Day Shred Day 5 Level 1 and C25K Week 2, Day 2: I covered 2.18 miles in 33 minutes. Average pace was 15:14. Getting a little faster. Slowly, but surely. 

Thursday: December 6

30 Day Shred Day 6 Level 1: I did not make it to spin class and 30 Day Shred was all I did. Such is life. . .

Friday: December 7

Spin: I’ve been heading into the National Guard Bureau and going to spin class there. My father worked with the instructor and he is fantastic! It also helps being surrounded by a whole bunch of military people. The class was packed and it was a great workout! My legs were really tired and I felt ever standing incline and seated incline. Ouch!

Saturday: December 8

30 Day Shred Day 7 Level 2 and C25K Week 2, Day 3: I covered 2.28 miles in 33 minutes!! Average pace was 14:37! A big improvement from Wednesday! 

I really enjoyed being flexible with my schedule this week. While I am really enjoying having two training plans going (30 Day Shred and C25K) it was also nice making it my own plan. The thought of going through 30 Day Shred straight was kind of mind numbing, so I am planning on taking Friday’s off and upping the level each week. It will take 34 calendar days to get through it, but I am already liking only staying on the same level for 6 days and then moving on. It was also incredibly nice doing a run on Saturday and giving my legs a rest on Friday.
