Cali Love!! Part 1

*There was one day of working out and it was half-assed. Fitness will be back this week. Sorry, kids.

Holy Macaroon!! This week has been a whirlwind!! My first time on the west coast was an amazing success and it was an amazing experience. I cannot wait until I am back! I hate to admit it, but I think I love LA almost as much as I love DC. Shhh! This post may need to be a few different post to get everything down.

First things first was packing and making an early flight out of Baltimore. I flew into Salt Lake City and wanted 3rd breakfast. Ha, this gaining 3 hour thing was amazing!! I finally made it into LAX and proceeded to wait a few hours for my beautiful mom to arrive. We decided to make a vacation out of coming out here. It also helped since I still can’t rent a car.

We went to check into our hotel and then headed over to Santa Monica Pier.

We ate dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp and walked along the pier. There were quite a few families out and tons of people fishing. One person even caught a baby octopus. It was quite the sight. Hey, let’s not judge the person who grew up in a landlocked state and did not have experience with anything like this.

 

It was all very cool and I was sad to leave, but rest was needed because I had 2 test the next day. We decided to chill out the next day and then hit LA hard on Wednesday. My test were in the afternoon and evening time and I was thrilled to not have another test until Friday. Sheesh, my brain hurt after the first and then my hand hurt after the second.

Okay, enough picture dump for the day. The next few days were spent in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area. More on that in Part 2!

I am still in LA. My plane does not leave until 10:30 Pacific Time tonight and it is a red eye back to the East Coast. My heart already hurts. Say a prayer I do not jump out the window or something. The only was I know how to remedy this is lots of Thrilling Adventure Hour Podcast and alcohol. More soon!
