Start of a new plan!

*Thank you all for your sweet text, messages, calls, and encouragement on my last post. It is amazing the support that you all have offered! I am truly blessed to have amazing friends like you!

So, I have officially started a new training plan and I am loving it! Sunday called for 2 minutes running and 1 minute walking for 2 miles. I started with a 5 minute warm-up and finished in 28 minutes. Not too bad, for me, considering it has been over a week since I have done any form of running and true exercise. By the end, my legs were burning and I was so ready to get back home and take a shower.

Yesterday was a cross train day and what better way to cross train than to drag your little sister to the gym with you?

Oh, Alex, I think we should work on your workout face. ;-)

We both completed a full body strength train circuit and then did 30 minutes on the elliptical. This is what the strength train circuit looked like:

Hip Abduction: 80lbs; 3X12

Hip Adduction: 50lbs; 3X12

Leg Extension: 50lbs; 3X12

Leg Press: 120lbs; 3X12

Leg Curl: 35lbs; 3X12

Vertical Chest: 35lbs; 3X12

Pec Fly: 20lbs; 3X12

Rear Delt: 35lbs; 3X12

Overhead Press: 20lbs; 3X12

Abs: 65lbs; 3X12

It was fun working out with someone else and pushing each other. Some moves she could lift more on more easily and vice versa, but by encouraging each other we both pushed ourselves and rocked the workout. We went over to the Muskogee Swim and Fitness to workout. It wasn’t the newest equipment, which was a tad disappointing, but it got the job done. We both got a daily pass ($8.00/person) and we will probably head back on Wednesday. It is a bit expensive, but I guess this will have to do until something else comes along.

Very sweaty sisters!

Today is another run day. On tap is 2.5 miles, 2 minutes running and 1 minute walking. Should be fun! I’ll be waiting until this evening to get it in, though. Right now, the plan is to clean my poor car out (It still has my entire room from Space Camp in it.) and to go get the package from USPS that I was suppose to get yesterday. Honestly, it has been nice to chill and relax. It has also been incredibly nice having a real bed to sleep in, a clean shower that does not require shower shoes, and a kitchen/big fridge. After we got back last night, Alex cut up some cantaloupe and I had the most colorful fruit salad I have ever had! In the mix was cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi! Yum!!

Tomorrow is my planned day in Fayetteville and I cannot wait!!

Have a great rest of your Tuesday!
