Week 8 Training Recap

Hello! This week went better than last week as far as training goals went. Let’s jump into it!

Sunday: 2.72 Miles Walk/Run along Potomac River; It was fantastic to be home, but boy was it sticking humid and I was also crunched for time because I was flying back that morning.

Monday: 4.15 Miles Walk/Run at MSFC; Overall pace was a bit slow, but it was a good run and nice to be back in a normal place I have grown use to over the past 6 months.

Tuesday: Nada

Wednesday: 3.00 Miles (28 Minutes) on the Elliptical & 4.05 Miles (17 Minutes) on the stationary bike; We got hit by lots of rain during the middle part of the week and I had to move indoors for this one. It was still nice to get in a workout.

Thursday: 4.05 Miles Run/Walk at MSFC; This was a FANTASTIC run!! Holy cow!! It had just stopped raining and the humidity was down. I was able to actually enjoy working out and I had some great ideas while out there. Everything felt “right!”

Friday: Nada; Unless moving chairs after grad counts.

Saturday: ~1:30 of SCUBA; For those of you that want to argue that SCUBA is not a workout, bring it! ;-)

Total Mileage: 17.97 Miles; 3.00 Miles Elliptical, 4.05 Miles Bike, 10.92 Miles Run/Walk

It was a nice and chill week, but I was able to get out there. I also have started doing ab workouts and girl push ups. I would love to say that working out and eating right have gone hand in hand this week, but it has not. :-/ This week has been filled with a lot of junk. I need to get it together because this up and down on the scale is NOT good and I have the next set of test for a potential job coming in three weeks, which includes a body fat scan. GROSS!!

I need to get a workout plan in action and also an eating plan that I can stick with. Recently, my go to breakfast has been Earth Fare Granola and Stoneyfield Yogurt. I reduced both servings by half and it is delicious, but it really is the rest of the day that gets me, especially when I have a team. I know, they are all excuses. So, I want to get a legit workout plan in motion and also do a WAY better job of consuming foods that are healthy for me. I want to eat to live and not live to eat. This is about creating a healthy lifestyle change.

This week is going to be a GREAT week! I can feel it! Have a fantastic week!
